(Liquid Cystal Display) yes it does have LED (Light-Emitting Diode)  but all the LED does is light the screen up thats all nothing more thats why they can make it so thin cause it dont produce heat so they can put it closer to the back of the screen.what the should call it is a the Samsung LED LCD TV cause thats exacly what it is.the sreen is still LCD but the lighting is LED instead of what they use to use.</description>
