I am having a problem with my new LED Samsung TV?
We have the 240 Hz. Samsung LED 8500 model… but whenever we watch something on it it says it is playing on 60hz in the upper right hand corner, how do i make it start playing 240hz?
This has been a sore spot for us techs in the field because of customers asking this exact question. You are receiving a 60hz signal—your set upconverts it to 240hz and that is what you are seeing. We techs are all praying that Samsung gets smart and makes the 60 disappear with a firmware update—
DO YOU HEAR ME SAMSUNG!!!!

You don’t. All tv signals are broadcast at 60hz. Fast moving objects have a tendency to blur or produce a skipping effect on lcd tvs. What your tv has the ability to do is refresh at 240hz which reduces or in most cases eliminate that blurring effect. So sorry you will never see an incoming singnal at 240hz.
