Is the Sharp Aquos LC-C46700UN a true LED TV? I can’t find much info on it. I have a deal on one for $900.?

But can’t verify if it is what I am looking for. I want a true LED TV similar to Samsung’s offering. I see this one has LED technology but unsure if it is truly what I am looking for.

It says it is full array LED. Is that comparable to the conventional LEDs that we have out now? When I ask if they are the same, is it the same tech as Samsungs UN46B7100?

is it 46 inches? a 46LED will not range anywhere near 900

    I’m not sure what you mean by ‘true’.

    But I know that there are two types of LCD TVs with LED backlights, and you want ‘local dimming’ LED backlights, not edge lit. The edge lit types are thinner, but lose all the advantages of local dimming like the deep blacks.
