what is the difference between LED&LCD tv’s?
LED is a light. it is now being used in rear projection tvs instead of the high intesity lamp that has been used for years. this is relativly new to the consumer although has been in the works for some time, these leds last a whole lot longer than the lamps and dont heat up and use less electricity to run. flat panel lcds use a florecent back light to light the screen. soon you will see them switching to the leds as back lights this will make the panel last longer and will give the lcds a better contrast ratio. but simply the LED is a light that is being used in tvs instead of traditional lamps to extend lamp life and use less energy. lcd is a type of tv. in the near future leds will be used in lcds. hoped i helped.
