This is my Samsung HLS-5679W LED DLP … not even two years old yet. I’ve had to rebuild the power supply once – but now something else is tango uniform inside it. If you have a problem with your Samsung … join the growing community of dissatisfied users at … www.avsforum.com I’m sure Samsung are nice guys – but we need to convince them that this unit was faulty from the beginning and they need to own up to that. A TV should last more than two years – and when it breaks – you should be able to get parts for it – unlike this baby.

    @mrdaddyo2 Replacing the 2 caps fixed the power cycling issue for me. The red LED (on the left side of the tv) failed causing the blue/green color. I bought a new tv around Christmas because it was going to be several hundred dollars to fix. You may need to check out your light engine and DMD board. Good luck to you.

    @thepaledeath did u find out what caused your problem? mine is doing the same thing & i’ve changed all those caps in that section on the power supply.

    I have this exact tv, and have nothing but problems. Of course, the problems started right after the warranty expired. I too fixed the common power cycling issue myself by replacing 2 capacitors on the power supply board. Now my red LED is dead leaving me with a blue/green picture. I frequently have problems getting a picture at all as well, only audio. I’ll never buy a Samsung again due to manufacturing defects and substandard customer service.

    sorry for your bad luck, but im happy with my Samsung :) . If anything, Philips is garbage.
