Which is a better LCD TV, samsung or panasonic?
I had purchased a 32" Samsung Bordeaux LCD panel two years ago and am still stunned with the picture clarity it offers.
Of lately there has been a huge influx of LCD and a few LED panels in the market.
The more choices you have, the more confused you become ![]()
My samsung bordeaux had 8000:1 contrast ratio and it feels awesome.
Now when i see other panels, they have 20000:1 , 500000:1 100000:1 contrast ratios??!!!
But surprisingly i see that my bordeaux is much crisper than the 50000:1 sony bravia panel ?!!
anyways, now i’m looking ahead for purchasing a 40" LCD/LED panel
Panasonic LCD is damn cheap, it comes with 20000:1 contrast ratio. I havent checked its picture quality though.
Samsung is my all time favourite but the price is still way too high for its LCD and more recently launched LED panel ![]()
I wanna go ahead with panasonic vierra. Is it worth the buy? Or shud i wait a few more months so that i have enough balance for cash purchase of samsung?
I would recommend that Panasonic.
I field a lot of questions on the website that deal with HDTV failures as well as a little repair work on the side and Panasonic is by far the most reliable brand that i’ve ever seen! Even more reliable then Samsung and Sony!
Panasonic’s also have the best pic qualities too!
Nothing wrong with Samsung’s, if that’s your favorite then go for it! I’m just telling you what i know from personal experience. Panasonic’s have always been my favorite! Affordable, reliable and outstanding image quality!
Hope this helps!

I like panasonic.below is a really good review site check them out. find the model at your price point and read futher reviews. often that leads you on a trail to find the best tv for your buck. good luck!

For me, Panasonic has been a value buy, both in terms of performance and price.

the contrast ratio is more relevant with HD transmission and since in India most of the channels are transmitted digitally and no HD channels , whereas in US most of the channels are HD where the contrast ratio is relevant
regarding choice SAMSUNG is in LCD manufacturing for sometime and also has got better service setup ( i am not sure about the service of PANASONIC, quality wise PANASONIC is no less)

I’ve had this tv for almost two weeks now and have not had any problems with it so far. the picture quality is outstanding when it is connected to hi-def tv channels. standard-definition channels also look great on this television. the tv does have some glare in rooms with windows but does’nt seem to be very problematic at all so don’t let that be a reason not to buy it. I have my xbox 360 connected to the tv via hdmi and all games I’ve played on it look really good. the television has great sound quality so that makes it even more ideal for playing video games as well. if you are looking for a great budget hdtv for playing video games and watching movies in high definition then you should look no further than this panasonic TC -L37S1 HDTV and get one ASAP!

I recently purchase a Panasonic 37" LCD tv for one of my bedroom. I purchased it from Best Buy for $549 which was normally $669 or so. I have checked and read all the customer reviews for the Panasonic and Samsung for the same size and the Panasonic was rated higher. Also from reading Home Theater magazine and reviews on tv for Plasma and LCD the Panasonic brand had more tvs that are with high remarks than any tv brand in the market. Hope this will help you out.
