Should I Get An Edge Lit LED or LCD HDTV?

So, I have enough money. And I have always wanted a nicer TV than my old standard one in my room. I plan on just getting a cheap, cheap TV. And I was going to get a 24 inch, but there are two kinds of 24 inch TVs that I have narrowed it down to. A 24 inch Edge Lit LED-LCD TV and a regular 24 inch LCD. They are both 1080p, have the same ports. Everything. But the LED one costs a bit more. Is it worth the extra money to get an edge lit LED TV? Or since it is a small TV and so cheap, would it be about the same (Picture Wise)?

I would suggest you buying LCD TV
