Is the USA importing too much from China?
I think we are. I bought a box of pencils, just simple No.2 lead pencils which I discovered had been made in China. I wonder how much critical military parts are being manufactured over seas. I have also learned that there’s no such a thing as an American made TV set anymore. Should we be concerned? I think so, big business is selling us out. They love cheap labor much more than country.

The technology for OLED isn’t really there yet so i wouldn’t worry about it! Besides, once the technology is there, they’re going to be very, very expensive!!!
Best Buy has a 11" OLED HDTV for $2,500!!! That’s ridiculous!!!
Go get the TV that you want now! By the time OLED is affordable, you’ll want/need a new TV anyway!!!
L.E.D. or color wheel on Samsung DLP 1080p?
I’m thinking about buying a Samsung 56′ tv. I went to Best Buy one day to look for a Samsung dlp. a salesguy said that led is bets because it adds more color and it lasts longer, but it’s more expensive than the color wheel . there are other sales people from Circuit City that the color wheel is better. I need help, which of the two is better? which one lasts longer?
Color-wheel-based DLPs use a lamp that lasts about 1,000-2000 hours. After that, you need another lamp, about $350-$400.
LED-based, are supposed to last about 10,000 hours, probably the lifetime of your TV and yes, they don’t need a color wheel, so you don’t get the rainbow effect.
LEDs also have instant on/off.
So, definitely LED-based are better; however, compare them also with a plasma. You may find now plasmas about the same price..
